CONESTOGA RANCH CELEBRATES AMERICA’S BIRTHDAY AND ITS OWN DURING JULY 4 HOLIDAY WEEKEND

Family-Friendly Activities, Barbecue and Entertainment Will Be Offered

GARDEN CITY, UTAH – In 2015, Northern Utah’s premiere glamping destination, Conestoga Ranch, opened the doors to its luxury tents, covered wagons and Campfire Grill Restaurant to rave reviews during July 4th As a result, the holiday is now extra special for the ranch, so a celebratory weekend has been programmed to honor our nation’s founding while also celebrating the glamping destination’s first anniversary. There is much to celebrate during this second season as Conestoga Ranch has debuted its Event Tent for private functions and the new Royal Tent Suite, the property’s most luxurious, private and spacious tent.

Families are invited to enjoy a luxury camping experience during the July 4th weekend and the beauty of Bear Lake complemented by a fun program of activities and special treats Conestoga Ranch will offer. Salt Lake City-based singer-songwriter George Charles Nelson will provide live entertainment at Campfire Grill Restaurant on Friday, July 1 and Saturday, July 2 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Overnight glamping guests and the general public are welcome to feast on gourmet cuisine served in the open-air pavilion dining room accompanied by his tunes.

A buffet-style, All American Barbecue dinner will be offered at Campfire Grill Restaurant on Friday and Saturday. Friday’s menu will feature ribs and chicken ($24 per person, plus tax and gratuity), and Saturday’s dinner will be a pig roast and barbecue chicken ($28 per person, plus tax and gratuity). Traditional sides such as potato salad, macaroni salad, green salad, and baked beans are included in the buffet dinners.

Longtime local cowboy Heber Dunford will create a spectacle with a roping demonstration on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. He’ll show guests the roping basics using a dummy steer head – a safe way for families to practice and show off their new skills. Dunford will also be making the campfire rounds to share his cowboy stories with guests during the evening hours.

Get the most out of viewing the stunning, Bear Lake night sky on Friday with a University of Utah astronomer who will share expert knowledge of planets, stars and galaxies through use of high-powered telescopes set up on the ranch’s activity field.

Additional activities throughout the weekend include cupcake decorating for kids and wiffle ball and volleyball games for all ages on the activity field. All guests will be offered a slice of anniversary cake at check in to share in the celebration. Three lucky winners who score a piece of cake with a figurine will win prizes from the Conestoga Ranch General Store.
