Yoga With Whitney

Whitney has been practicing yoga for over 10 years and received her 200 hour teacher training certification at Yoga Vidya Gurukul ashram in Nashik, India. While there she expanded her knowledge of the practice by studying traditional hatha and ashtanga techniques and completely immersing herself in the full Indian ashram lifestyle.  She has returned many times to the region of India and Nepal to study traditional styles of yoga and meditation and loves to incorporate these more traditional techniques in her teaching style. In her professional life she owns a textile import business that has allowed her to travel extensively through Asia, South America and Africa in the winter months and return to live in Bear Lake each summer. Wherever she is in the world she tries to participate in yoga classes to help deepen her personal practice and expand her understanding beyond western philosophy.

Class Description

This 60 minute class is a medley of meditation and gentle yoga flows to awaken and relax the body and mind while overlooking beautiful Bear Lake and breathing in fresh mountain air. We will focus on breath awareness while building simple body postures that will release stress held in our bodies while calming our minds. The perfect way to start or end your vacation in Bear Lake! Beginners and advanced yogis are welcome!
